Robbie is a very good teacher and our 12 year old son enjoys his lessons a lot. His approach is structured and with the right balance between learning about reading music and understanding music and having fun at the same time which results in great progress.

Robbie is super helpful, kind and patient. He has been teaching me guitar lessons since July 2018 and I’ve seen great results! Very easy-going, perfect for beginners but also good for all skill levels. Recommend 10/10!

After playing on my own for some time, I had gotten into all kinds of bad habits. I was very glad to start taking lessons with Robbie because he has a great way of teaching guitar in an engaging, motivating way. Soon I was working out of my odd habits and learning how to play some amazing music, from Leyenda to Led Zepplin. Robbie is excellent at bringing together playing style, technique, and music fundamentals in an efficient way that accelerates learning and makes it fun.

Robbie is a great teacher who is capable of teaching many different styles of guitar playing. He helped me start out as a beginner by teaching me my favorite rock songs and showing me useful practice techniques. He also exposed me to other styles of music such as blues and classical, and organized group lessons so I could get experience practicing with other musicians. When I joined the jazz band at my high school with little experience, he quickly caught me up to speed. When I began to grow interested in other instruments such as drums and bass, he was able to help teach me those as well. Robbie also helped me gain experience performing by inviting me to play in recitals, and most notably, a paid gig playing Latin music on state street with experienced musicians.

I have been taking guitar lessons from Robbie for over 2 years now. Robbie’s teachings have been very helpful these past years as a guitarist. I have had 3 other guitar teachers before him and none of them even come close to being as helpful as he has. I look forward to seeing him every week. Robbie has taught me new techniques which make things much easier.

My 10 year old son started studying with Robbie just a few weeks ago, and we are extremely satisfied. He’s patient and has the soft touch that’s helpful when working with kids. He’s also professional, he shows up on time, ready to work and is there for the full time frame. His rates are reasonable and I recommend him to anyone, of any age or skill level that’s interested in guitar. And it’s also obvious that music isn’t a mere rice bowl that pays the bills. Robbie is an accomplished composer and performer who continues to study and advance his own musicianship. We have seen him perform his own compositions at recitals and are duly impressed.

I have been able to find benefits in multiple aspects of my life using the exercises Robbie has showed me. While playing the guitar, in front of an audience or in frustration of trying to play a difficult song, like many people I subconsciously forget to breathe. Forcing myself to connect my breathing directly to my music keeps my heart rate steady and in turn produces successful playing. I’ve seen this not only in playing songs I already know for others, but in mastering a new song. As a cross country and track runner, practicing these breathing exercises before a race or meet calms my nerves, produces once again a steady heart rate and helps me to stay in a positive mindset by focusing on something that produces positive emotions. I’ve seen my racing benefit from this. This is a great way to improve your musical skills and to use in other activities where one might get nervous such as; public speaking, test taking, and any sporting event. These exercises will bring benefits to multiple aspects of your life and are worth the time an money.
